OECD FDI in figures

Published 27 April 2018 | 1 minute read

The FDI in Figures report is published twice yearly using OECD data and foreign direct investment (FDI) statistics. The April 2018 issue reveals that global FDI flows dropped 18% from 2016 to 2017 as corporate restructurings declined. FDI flows also reached their lowest level since 2013 in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The report details recent developments, highlights trends in FDI in resident special purpose entities (SPEs), provides statistics on FDI by ultimate investor and analyzes FDI since the financial crisis. It also provides statistical tables for FDI inflows and outflows by region and country.
