Merle has spent 60 years promoting and advancing global trade. He founded the NASDAQ-listed B2B media company, Global Sources, in Hong Kong in 1970 which is currently used by 1.5 million international buyers. In 2012, he established the Singapore-based Hinrich Foundation to proactively advance mutually beneficial, sustainable global trade through international trade research and trade education.
