Personal statement

As a Director of a reputable firm and having worked in a professional environment for 12 years, I want to develop myself into a better leader. The Master of Global Trade is a great chance for me to do this, as it is designed by employers for employers in terms of timing, quality and visions. My ambition is to improve the customs system and financial environment in Vietnam.

We are living in a changing world that is connected and interdependent. As Yuval Noah Harari stated in his book “21 Lessons for the 21st Century,” the world is like a spider web in which every person is ensnared. Our movement is limited, but each of them can have influences across the globe. We can see how a virus first spread out in China and is infecting people in more than 40 countries and striking the world economy. We cannot excel or even survive in this fast-changing world if we are not open to learning opportunities or we fail to manage changes.

I would take this program as my opportunity to gain a tremendous amount of knowledge on global trade which will definitely help me become a global leader. It is also my chance to cooperate and learn from talents of other firms. Immersing myself in the Hinrich Foundation community is a great way to broaden my perceptions of international business, while being surrounded by people who are dedicated to improving the global trade environment.

Sharing my time to support international business is also extremely beneficial for my country and my current business. I also take responsibility to give back and contribute to the Hinrich Global Trade Leaders community.
