Gabriella Beaumont-Smith is Policy Analyst in Macroeconomics in the Center for Data Analysis (CDA). She writes about trade policy and the intersection of trade and agricultural policy.
Ms. Beaumont-Smith is expanding her research into the digital, privacy, and intellectual property rights space as trade policy modernizes. As a member of the team in CDA, Beaumont-Smith is responsible for analyzing trade data and economic models.
Before joining The Heritage Foundation, Beaumont-Smith was an MA Fellow at the Mercatus Center where she did extensive research on a proposal for a US-UK free trade agreement.
Beaumont-Smith holds a master’s degree in economics from George Mason University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Connecticut. She is originally from Gorleston-on-Sea in the United Kingdom and currently resides in Washington, DC.
