Ivana Karásková

China Analyst, Association for International Affairs (AMO)

Ivana Karásková is a China Analyst at the Association for International Affairs (AMO), a Prague-based think tank and non-governmental organization, and a Lead of international projects MapInfluenCE and China Observers in Central and Eastern Europe (CHOICE). Since 2020, she has been a European China Policy Fellow at the Mercator Institute for China Studies (MERICS), Germany.

Ivana holds a PhD in International Relations and other degrees in journalism and mass communication and European studies. She has conducted research in China (Fudan University, East China Normal University), Taiwan (Chengchi University, Tamkang University), and the United States (Fulbright scholar at Weatherhead East Asian Institute, Columbia University, New York). She is a member of the China expert pool at the European Center of Excellence for Countering Hybrid Threats (Hybrid CoE) in Helsinki, Finland.
