“The Hinrich Foundation Scholarship will allow me to explore in-depth reporting on climate, sustainability and connect millions of people in remote locations to promote economic growth between our home nations through my journalistic work.”

Hinrich Foundation Program Director, Alex Boome, said: “Clear, fact-based communication brings people together and underpins global trade. For trade to be sustainable, it must be mutually beneficial – and that requires developing trusted cross-border relationships that are founded on clear information and communication.

“We are extremely proud of our Journalism alumni as they apply the skills and understanding developed at HKBU in business and journalism from London, Hong Kong and Washington, DC, to Portugal, Yangon and Ho Chi Minh City. We know Elverina will make excellent contributions to bringing people together as Hinrich Global Trade Leader.”
