WTO world trade statistical review 2018

Published 30 July 2018 | 1 minute read

The World Trade Statistical Review is the WTO’s flagship statistical publication. It provides detailed analyses of the latest developments in world trade on an annual basis.

The 2018 report highlights global trends in both merchandise and services trade. It also provides global perspectives on the leading players in trade, followed by latest trade policy developments. It ends with statistical tables illustrating long-term trade trends and providing more detailed breakdowns by product and country.

The World Trade Organization (WTO) is the only global international organization dealing with the rules of trade between nations. At its heart are the WTO agreements, negotiated and signed by the bulk of the world’s trading nations and ratified in their parliaments. The goal is to ensure that trade flows as smoothly, predictably and freely as possible.
