The WTO’s Trade Profiles 2018 report provides important indicators on trade in goods and services for 197 economies around the world.

Each trade profile showcases the major exports and imports for each economy as well as their main trading partners. The trade profiles are broken down into four sections: overall trade snapshot, merchandise trade, commercial services trade and industrial property. The data is presented in a concise two-page summary, providing a useful overview of global trade for each economy.

The World Trade Organization (WTO) is the only global international organization dealing with the rules of trade between nations. At its heart are the WTO agreements, negotiated and signed by the bulk of the world’s trading nations and ratified in their parliaments. The goal is to ensure that trade flows as smoothly, predictably and freely as possible.
