Scholar background

Tran Bich Phuong is Business Process Organization Manager at DHL Global Forwarding Vietnam. A division of DHL Group, the company is the world leader in freight forwarding services with its network’s presence in more than 150 countries.

Her responsibilities include managing the business implementation projects to pursue seamless business transition and customer satisfaction. She also facilitates training programs and workshops on business issues, and promotes continuous improvement culture in the organization.

In her role, she manages training, reporting and auditing programs to ensure the export control, sanctions and trade laws compliance.

Phuong has been with DHL for 10 years and held several managerial positions since she joined in 2011. With DHL, she acquired a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt Certification in 2019. Prior to joining DHL, Phuong was a Merchandise Officer for Suheung Vietnam from 2009.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in 2011.

Personal statement

Globalization and technology have rapidly changed our worldwide economy and rules of doing business. It requires every organization and individual to accelerate the process of adapting to the trends. Understanding global markets and trade law is essential, but creating the flexibility and resilience is even more important to work in the fast-growing global business nowadays.

Aspiring to work and act as a global citizen has inspired me in facilitating the fundamental knowledge about global trade, being connected to the expert communities, committing to share and support business growth.

The Master of Global Trade program under Hinrich Foundation offers the best opportunities to enhance my skills, networks and abilities.
