Scholar background

Jeremie Buatier is based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where he is the Key Account Manager of Geodis, a French company. Geodis is a global expert in supply chain optimization, freight forwarding, contract logistics, distribution and express and road transport. Jeremie works closely with customers to provide custom, freight and transport management, as well as develop end-to-end supply chain solutions.

Prior to this role, he worked as the company’s Warehouse Operation Manager from 2016 to 2019, responsible for warehouse implementation and logistic procedure.

Before joining Geodis, he worked as a Logistic Engineer in Daher, a French aircraft manufacturer and service provider, and its customer Airbus Helicopters from 2014 to 2016. Previously, he took an apprenticeship as Engineer of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing at Daher-Socata for three years from 2011.

Jeremie earned his certificate in Engineering from École d’Ingénieurs CESI Saint-Nazaire in 2014. He also has a Higher National Diploma in Quality, Industrial Logistic and Organization from Nantes University in France.

Personal statement

During my 10 years’ experience in the logistic field, I’ve been able to learn that continuous training is the key point to success. I came from a pure logistic background where I could practice very early through an apprenticeship.

I’ve worked as a Logistic Engineer in the warehouse of Geodis in Vietnam for a couple of years, which allows me today to handle major contract logistics customers as a Key Account Manager. This new position gives me the opportunity to discover the total supply chain (freight, trucking, customs and warehousing). I’ve always been very keen to learn and also practice at the same time, as I believe that logistics is a very practical field.

Furthermore, I always believe that Vietnam is the place to be and this year, we can see that it’s more and more true. We will have chances to work with different countries in Asia, Europe and America, as Vietnam is under the spotlight. I’m convinced that I have a lot to learn in the Master of Global Trade courses, including the Sales and Cross-cultural Negotiation, Managing Across Cultures and International Strategy. The Master of Global Trade program really captures the required knowledge and skills for future company leaders. It’s aligned with my personal ambitions to grow my career and excel in the future.
