Alumni background
Saiful is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in manufacturing and sourcing. He is currently involved with quality and production at the Inditex Group, a global fast fashion conglomerate that owns renowned brands including Zara Home, Bershka, Massimo Dutti, Oysho and Pull & Bear. Saiful is responsible for the production, quality assurance, and cost negotiations relating to the Zara brand.
Prior to this role, he served as a Lean Quality Engineer for Carrefour Global Sourcing Asia in Bangladesh. Carrefour is one of the largest global retailers, operating over 10,000 stores around the world.
Saiful earned his Bachelor of Science in Textile Engineering from Daffodil International University in Bangladesh in 2015. He completed his Master of Science in Manufacturing Systems Engineering and Management from Hong Kong Polytechnic University as a Carrefour-Hinrich Scholar in 2020.
Saiful served as the Bangladesh Deputy Chapter Leader on the Hinrich Foundation Alumni Leadership Committee from 2021 to 2022.
