Based in Hong Kong, Abdul “Rahoof” Kakatharayil is a Fact-Check Reporter at AFP (Agence France-Presse), a leading news agency covering the world in six languages. Rahoof is an award-winning journalist with more than five years of experience in print and digital media in India and Hong Kong. He has joined international fellowships sponsored by the World Health Organization and International Central for Journalists.
He earned his Master of Arts in International Journalism Studies from Hong Kong Baptist University in 2019 through the Hinrich Global Trade Leader Scholarship. He has a bachelor’s degree in History from Aligarh Muslim University in India.
