Stephen Olson addresses HKCSI Executive Committee

Published 04 May 2017

On April 26, 2017 Hinrich Foundation Research Fellow Stephen Olson was invited to speak at the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce.

Olson gave a roundtable presentation to the Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Coalition of Service Industries (HKCSI) on US trade policy under the Trump administration.

The HKCSI was created in 1990 to serve as the policy think tank of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce to promote the development and competitiveness of the service industries in Hong Kong. It is the major private sector voice for Hong Kong’s service industries, with representatives from more than 50 service sectors.

Dr. Mark C. Michelson, Chairman of the Hong Kong Coalition of Service Industries, introduced Olson to the HKCSI Executive Committee. Olson then delivered a presentation on what can be learned about US trade policy following the first 100 days under the Trump administration. The event concluded after a lively discussion with Olson and HKCSI council members.
