Program Director shared thoughts about career growth in trade

Published 21 June 2020

For people interested in careers in global trade, Hinrich Foundation Program Director Alex Boome shared his insight about the excellent prospect for people with a RMIT University Master of Global Trade degree during a recent webinar.

The live webinar attracted more than 70 participants keen to learn more about the Master of Global Trade and other master’s programs offered by RMIT University Vietnam.

Alex emphasized the practical nature of the Master of Global Trade program which is designed by employers, for employers. It will equip graduates with the exceptional 21st century management skills required to drive business growth across global value chains.

Career prospects for students are right across global trade value chains, from import-export finance, logistics, policy research and foreign direct investment to footwear manufacturing, electronics, pharmaceuticals and marketing.

"The companies who have sent their staff to this program include Siemens, Samsung, KPMG, HSBC and VF, the company behind iconic brands like The North Face, Vans and Timberland – plus the New Zealand commission and local small- and medium-sized export companies. The participation by these companies is the biggest endorsement as to the value of this program for employers, and therefore, students."
