Timothy Trainer is the founder of the Global Intellectual Property Strategy Center, P.C. in Washington, DC.
Previously, Mr. Trainer was an attorney at the US Patent and Trademark Office and the U.S. Customs Service. He is a past president of the International Anti-Counterfeiting Coalition, where he was involved in numerous international intellectual property initiatives, including those with Interpol and the UN’s Economic Commission for Europe.
Mr. Trainer has taught at American University’s Washington College of Law and, since 2000, has been a cleared advisor serving on the U.S. Trade Representative and the Department of Commerce’s Industry-Trade Advisory Committee on IP. He has co-authored Customs Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights for all of its 13 annual editions (2006-2018).
