The Canada-in-Asia Conference 2025 (CIAC2025) is an engagement platform connecting business leaders, investors, policymakers, and innovators from Canada and Asia to discuss critical topics shaping the Canada-Asia relationship. This year’s conference will address cross-cutting themes and ideas for business innovation, as well as global challenges such as geopolitics, the renewed space race, sustainable investment, and infrastructure.

The agenda features panels on key global topics, including competition for talent, sustainable infrastructure, trade, and supply chains and sector-focused sessions in agri-food, oceans, clean tech, and energy transitions.

Join Stewart Paterson, Senior Research Fellow at the Hinrich Foundation, for a panel on 20 February on Canada as a stable provider of critical minerals for Asia’s clean energy technologies. This session will explore the demand for critical minerals in Asia, their role in clean technologies, and the opportunities for Canada. Other participants include experts from the S&P Global, Canada ASEAN Business Council (CABC), Singapore Business Federation, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Economist Impact, Global Development Network, University of Toronto, National University of Singapore, and more.
