Hinrich Trade Negotiation Simulation
Our simulations provide university students and young professionals the opportunity to participate in life-like multilateral trade negotiations under the guidance of experienced trade negotiators.
They develop practical life-skills such as negotiation and networking with peers, trade professionals and experts, and enhance their knowledge of behind-the-scenes global trade diplomacy.
2023 Hinrich Trade Negotiation Simulation
Taking place at the Hinrich Foundation Centre Singapore on 6-7 May 2023, this event was open to students from the following institutions: Singapore Management University, NUS Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, NTU Nanyang Business School, NTU Wee Kim Wee School of Communications and Information, INSEAD and S P Jain School of Global Management.

With ongoing changes to trade relations in Asia and around the world, skilled trade negotiators and representatives will play a critical role in reshaping the future of trade. Through the Hinrich Trade Negotiation Simulation, experienced trade negotiators provide university students and young professionals the opportunity to participate in a life-like negotiation for a multi-lateral free trade agreement.
By working through the dynamics of international trade negotiations, participants develop practical skills in persuasion and diplomacy. It aims to encourage an open and informative dialogue on global trade issues through a better understanding of how we can balance national interests with the needs of the international community.
