Key highlights
A cross-disciplinary degree
The Fletcher School is renowned for its excellence in international affairs, diplomacy and law education. Studying international business at this institute means that students will be equipped with not only business fundamentals but also robust interdisciplinary knowledge of environmental issues, human security, geopolitical shifts and technological changes.
Furthermore, in the second year of the program, students are required to complete two fields of study: one in international business and one in global affairs, which includes international development, regional studies, legal studies and international security, among other options.
Strong focus on sustainable trade
Starting with the fall class of 2023, the program has revamped the focus on sustainability in its curriculum. It trains leaders to tackle sustainability from every angle – environmental, social and governmental, as well as broader economic and systemic viewpoints.
Experiential learning opportunities
Students gain practical experience through research projects at Fletcher's Institute for Business in Global Context, including competitions such as the D-Prize for sustainable solutions in developing nations, and case studies that develop analytical skills for sustainable business strategies. These hands-on learning experiences reinforce the program's sustainability focus.
