CML first partnered with the Hinrich Foundation in 2016, starting with one scholar in the Master of Science in Business Management program at Hong Kong Baptist University.

Working with Hinrich Foundation since 2015, adidas Group supplier companies have partnered with Hinrich Foundation to sponsor 8 scholars in masters-level business and engineering programs in Vietnam. Focusing on talent from Myanmar, Cambodia, and Vietnam, this program is an effective channel to develop local talent across Southeast Asia.

Excellent value has been found in partnering with the Vietnamese-German University in Ho Chi Minh City – where German professors with expertise in mechanical engineering provide a top-quality education for scholars. The majority of our scholars have enrolled in the Master of Science in Global Production Engineering and Management program here, while a couple are completing their Master of Business Administration, with a concentration in Small Enterprise Promotion and Training.

A single scholar in this partnership has enrolled in the Master of Business Administration program at the French Vietnamese Center of Management (CFVG).

The companies involved in this partnership are suppliers for adidas, and include: Pou Chen Myanmar, Shyang Jhuo Yue, Shyang Hung Cheng, MengDa Footwear Industrial, Can Sports Shoes, Jia Hsin and Sam Ho.

Hinrich Foundation works with these leading adidas footwear manufacturers in Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar. These firms produce tens of thousands of pairs of shoes per month for adidas, providing employment for thousands of people.

Since 2014, Global Sources has supported 3 Hinrich Foundation Global Trade Leader scholars from China in the Master of Science in China Business Studies program at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Since 2005, Global Sources has supported the Hinrich Foundation’s Trade Scholarships and Careers program through the provision of meaningful careers and trade training for more than 40 scholars.

VF Corporation has partnered with Hinrich Foundation since 2014 to support six Bangladeshi scholars and one Indian scholar. VF saw a strong need for next generation local engineers and managers in its footwear factories in Bangladesh and across Asia.

Each scholar earned a Master of Science degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering Management at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, improving factory operations at VF partner factories in Bangladesh and Cambodia.

The Hinrich Foundation and its corporate partners offer full financial support to successful candidates to study four programs at HKPolyU: 1) MSc in Engineering Business Management; 2) MSc in China Business Studies; 3) MSc in Manufacturing Systems Engineering Management; and 4) MSc in Supply Chain Logistics Management. Each program equips students with up-to-date knowledge of practices and global happenings that allow them to further their analytical skills which are crucial in managing and leading today’s businesses and organizations. Since 2014, 11 scholars from Asia have been co-sponsored to study at HKPolyU by Hinrich Foundation and its corporate partners.

Vietnamese-German University
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Partner since 2015
Vietnamese-German University (VGU) aims to provide high standards of education to its students, enabling them to succeed on an internationally competitive level. Since 2015, the Hinrich Foundation and its corporate partners have offered scholarship support to Vietnamese, Cambodian and Burmese citizens to study two programs at VGU: 1) MBA with a specialization on Small and Medium Enterprises Development and 2) MSc in Global Production Engineering and Management at VGU. These programs are taught by 80% German professors and 20% local professors, focusing on technological innovation and business management, enhancing the students’ managerial knowledge and skills.

The Hinrich Foundation, VGU, and Leipzig University also offer the Export Manager Advanced Training program, designed for managers and professionals interested in SME internationalization and professional skills development.

About Vietnamese-German University

The Vietnamese-German University (VGU) is a Vietnamese research-oriented state university founded in 2008. Following the model of German higher education system, VGU offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs focusing on engineering, natural sciences and economics. CFVG – French-Vietnamese Center for Management Education

The Hinrich Foundation, together with the French – Vietnamese Center for Management Educations (CFVG) offers Master of Business Administration to Vietnamese citizens. Students of this program will have the chance to develop essential business skills and to learn European management expertise and Vietnamese business insights.

Vietnamese individuals passionate in international trade and footwear manufacturing are encouraged to apply for a full scholarship to study Master’s degree in Business Administration at UEH. The MBA program is designed by Western Sydney University and features Australian education and training system standards. The Hinrich Foundation granted scholarships to 3 graduates of the Arizona State University Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication to pursue a Master’s degree in Global Business Journalism at Tsinghua University. Partnership with Hinrich Foundation (2012-2016)
The Hinrich Foundation supported 2 scholars from Laos to study Master’s of Science in Development Communication at University of the Philippines – Los Baños in 2012 and 2015. The degree focuses on utilizing media as a tool for development. Students can specialize in community broadcasting, development journalism, and general and educational communication. Hinrich Foundation scholars aim to set the stage in their home country for economic and export development.
